Jim Allpike’s saddlery

Jim Allpike had his saddlery on the corner where the Markets building now is for over forty years, from about 1872. His descendant, Sue Birch, who kindly sent me his story, tells how he could nip out for a quick one at the Freemasons, just over the road.
