Dalkeith

Dalkeith was the name of the Armstrong family's cottage, after their place of origin in Scotland - about 10km from Edinburgh. They settled there, having arrived on the Gilmore. Francis Fraser Armstrong married Mary Mews. James Gallop had a house and farm there. Masons Gardens was and is still there. Many streets in the area were named by surveyor P.G.S. Hope from the names of yachts on the river in the racing season 1912-13.
